U.S. Senators-convince your colleagues to extend homebuyer tax credit for PENDINGS through Sept.
Dear Senator,
PLEASE consider passing the home buyer tax credit for PENDING deals through September. There was no way to have known how complicated some of these deals would be—-especially with regards to foreclosures and short sales. For me, every deal left to close is in that category. Foreclosures and short sales are the ones taking much longer to get to the finish line. This tax credit was designed to help the economy by clearing out a lot of this kind of inventory that’s hurting values the longer it sits empty.
It’s like being at mile 26 in the marathon, but get shot down with .2 miles to go.
Please let these buyers finish what they started.
